SIMOS gets the headlines in the newspaper LIBERATION (April 8th, 1957)

Simos traveled for the first time in Paris in 1957

On the 8th April 1957, “Liberation” has him on the front page,

next to Queen Elizabeth, who was visiting Paris, same day.

Below the two pictures , the newspaper put the caption ..

HE : Simos 38 years old, native of Athens . He dreamed of seeing Paris and Queen of England. When he knew he could do two things at once, he wear his spartan sandals and hit the road. Good eye good foot. Yesterday he reached La Madeleine. Today, all hopes are allowed

SHE : Inherit 650 servants . She has 27 palaces . 750 million annual income . She will stay four days in Paris.She is already married to Prince PHILIPPE OF EDINBURGH. Ignores Simos Tsapnidis .

It was a humorous but caustic commentary on the Queen , who lives in opulence and it is impossible for her, to watch the problems of any poor.
